Angela Sharrow

I am originally from Batesville, Arkansas. My love of photography stems from my parents who have owned and operated a professional photography studio from the time I was two.

In February of 1997, I married a charming man who was (and still is) active duty Air Force. We move around a bit, but I get to see places that I never would have seen otherwise. On our third wedding anniversary, we received a great gift, a son. Two years and three months later, we were blessed with a daughter. They are my true inspiration. I had always possessed a very active imagination and loved to be creative. As I got older, I seemed to lose it gradually. Having children rekindled my creative mind and sparked my imagination. There is not a day that goes by that they do not inspire me in one way or another.

After becoming a SAHM, I needed a creative outlet to help keep me sane. I took multitudes of digital photos of the kids and wanted a way to share them in a more creative way than just email. After receiving Photoshop as a gift, I began playing with graphics, using them to decorate the photos and inserting them into slide shows for friends and family. When searching for graphics, I came across a popular digital scrapbooking site. I believe it was merely days before I was addicted. The cost of scrapbooking and printing was a big deterrent for me from traditional scrapbooking, but digital opened a whole new world to me.

In March of 2005, I realized that creating my own scrapbook graphics was just as addicting for me as scrapping. I took the plunge and began designing at Scrap Outside the Box that month. There I "met" Krista Mettler, who introduced me to the fab Tracy (retrodiva) here at Digital Freebies. In May, I joined the wonderful team here. I would not trade my job for any other!
