It’s the tokens of affection. It’s the memories. But before love can be any of these things, it must first be a verb. Love is having the courage to ask someone out or having the courage to say “yes.” Love is being on time or calling if you can’t help being late. Love is making time for time together. Love is sharing the things each other likes and finding pleasure in them even if you don’t share the same passion in them. Love is taking time to talk, to really know each other. Love is finding a common ground and moving at that pace. Love is looking in each other’s eyes and knowing the feelings are there. Love is committing yourself to always making the choices that will keep the feelings you’ve created growing. As a verb, love creates itself, nurtures itself and perpetuates itself.
