Wow. Isn't it amazing how something so tragic only makes us stronger? I'm so sorry for all that you've been through and I have been looking at digital scrapbooking as a therapeutic tool as well. I've been working on my own book and have included my horrific car accident but I never thought of including my dark past. Thanks for posting this, I think I might do a separate book just for me to help myself mend from past experiences. At first I was a bit uneasy replying to this only because I'm so shy in talking about my own past but you're really an inspiration to lay it all out there! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have support all around you to help you through all that happened. If not, I'm sure there's enough of us here that have had to deal with similar tragedies to lend a shoulder when needed....

I have no words. Graphically this is just stunning and heartbreaking at the same time. The word effect is amazing, and it does look like they were actually cut into skin. (which I believe was the intent) This is just so full of emotion and depth. (and lots of technical digital skill) So sorry for it all. So sorry for everything. TFS

This is a powerful page and so important too. You weren't to blame in any way for the violence just as the rest of us weren't to blame for our experiences either. I pray every night that the violence stops and people would be caring and considerate to each other. A big hug and thank you for being so brave.

It's tragic that things like this happen more often than people want to think they do, and the fact that you are brave enough and willing enough to inform others of such tragedies is more than honorable. You have come a long way, Nicole, and I commend you for it. You have turned a horrid, terrifying, and belittling experience into a lesson for anyone who needs to hear it, and that is so brave. You have become an inspiration to others in similar situations and have turned a violent, painful thing into a powerful healing for yourself and many others. You are rising above your "victim" status to someone who is helping others do the same. You have become bEtter instead of bItter, and that is a difficult and long path to walk. God cried when this happened, and will Bless you tremendously for turning it around to help others.
