Working on my goal of catching up this year! STILL at Christmas ‘05, but I’m really close to 2006 now.
Davinities is what I call my holiday baking. Oh, and “Princess” was Dad’s nickname for his daughter when I was little!
Journaling reads:
The Story Of Davinities
Once upon a time, in a kingdom not so far away, there lived a little princess. This princess was the only daughter of a very kind and loving king. The princess so loved the king that she wanted to present him with the finest confection in all the land. But what treat would be fine enough for such a wonderful king?
The little princess thought long and hard. She discovered a recipe for a confection made with butterscotch and peanut butter. Knowing these were the kings favorite flavors, she was sure he’d be pleased. The king was very pleased!
That day in 1973, was the day the first Davinity was made and the tradition was born of giving Davinities to special people...like you!
