You became more child-like, and so it was logical for you to wear your sweater backwards because it kept you warmer that way. I understand that totally now! Sometimes you got your clothes on inside out (yes, I’ve done that!) or on backwards (that, too!). You would lament that you “lost your pocket” because of that! I’ve even found myself “hmmm”-ing as you used to, to hear myself “talk.” Such little things, but Oh, Mom! I am SO SO you.

Ohhhh, this is so beautiful and touching. I remember talking like that with my mom before she was *too* far gone with Alzheimer's. They're so sweet and childlike and that role reversal makes it so clear how like them we are. Thanks for sharing this.
