OK I decided it was stupid of me not to use the opportunity to have cc while I am learning to do something. After I messed up the pics so much in the first try, I did the next ones square and plain.
It dawned on me, that was not the purpose of this challenge at all!! The purpose was to teach us something new--right?
So I decidet to return to the origninal and try to do the shadows on bent pictures AGAIN.
Let me know if I have improved or not. Thanks

I'm so happy that you decided to go back to your original idea and not back away from the challenge.
Definitely improving.
Something's bothering me about the left photo. I think it's because the top doesn't have the same bend as the bottom. I'd like to see the mat/frame be the same shape top and bottom. It just looks a little distorted to me.
I like what you did to the screws.
On the right photo, I like the new curl and screw/brad. I'd like more shadow on the right side of the curl (it looks like it's lying down on the page, and I think it should be up a little. And a little more under the curl. Do you know what I mean?
I think with the curled corner and the bent photo, you've taken on a big task -- but you went to those from the flat ones because it's what you want to learn. Bravo!
Maybe someone could explain the curl shadow better than I can, but it looks small and too dark to me.
You're definitely getting better on this, and I applaud you for being back in the game.

Mary

I think you got some really good suggestions on your earlier post and have done a great job at incorporating them. As you said, this is a learning opportunity and hopefully fun, too. I think your shadows on the bent photos are quite real looking now, the way the virtually disappear as the photo meets the bg paper. While I understand what opeysmama was saying about the brads, I don't think I'd rotate their shadows quite this much. Other than that, I think it's coming along beautifully!
